Offering some of the finest in campground amenities and facilities with cabins, RV parking sites with 50 amp service, and campground recreation, here in the Black Hills we look forward to welcoming you to our campground.  

We are owned by the same company that operates Palmer Gulch Lodge and KOA in Hill City. With the same expectations and amenities, your camping experience in Rapid City will be filled with fun and history as you explore the Black Hills from Mount Rushmore to Wind Cave National Park and to the gold mines in Deadwood.  There’s something for everyone to see!

We’re ‘Thinking Green’!
If there’s one thing that we know about at the Rapid City KOA, it’s being green. After all, we’re surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pines of the Black Hills and the most beautiful landscape South Dakota has to offer.

We’re dedicated to keeping our KOA as beautiful as it can be. That’s why we offer conveniently located recycling bins for our guests’ use.  In 2009 we’re taking our commitment to the environment up a notch and now you’ll find us using green-labeled chemicals and cleaning supplies whenever possible.
